What style of spaces do you create?
I don’t box myself into a single design style. My process always begins with getting to know my clients and designing specifically for them. While my work often leans transitional or blends multiple styles, many people in this area enjoy at least a hint of coastal influence, and I love incorporating that when it feels right. At the same time, I truly thrive on creating spaces that are unique, authentic, and deeply personal.
My work blends timeless design with the thoughtful use of pattern, color, and texture, resulting in interiors that feel rich, layered, and luxurious without ever becoming overwhelming. I believe luxury is not about excess, but about refinement, flow, and balance. Each project is guided by an intuitive process that begins with understanding how a space should function and feel, then evolves into a design that is elevated, enduring, and uniquely tailored to its owners.

What types of projects do you take on?
I design everything from new construction and large-scale renovations to full-home furnishing and single-room transformations.
What matters most isn’t the size of the project but the fit: I work best with clients who trust my vision, value the design process, and give me the freedom to be creative. When that is in place, the end result is always a home that feels elevated, personal, and timeless. And not to mention a very happy client!
Can Zen Reno & Design work with my contractor?
At Zen Reno & Design, I deeply value collaboration with contractors who align with the quality, communication style, and standards that support a successful renovation. A key part of the value I bring to each project is my network of trusted contractors. Professionals I’ve built strong relationships with over time and who consistently deliver exceptional results. Working with these familiar teams allows for streamlined communication, efficient coordination, and a shared understanding of the design vision, ultimately enhancing the entire renovation experience.
Because the contractor plays such a crucial role in executing the project, they are an essential part of the team. If, after meeting and assessing the client's contractor, I feel that the fit may not support the success of the project, I may need to either suggest a different contractor from my network or, in some cases, respectfully step away from the job. My commitment is always to the integrity of the design and ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for my clients.
Are project management services offered?
While Zen Reno & Design does not offer formal construction project management services — which requires a special license in construction in the state of Florida — I take on the role of 'design manager' to oversee the execution of the design vision. Throughout the project, I remain actively involved to ensure the design is fully understood and accurately implemented by the contractor. This includes conducting regular site visits during the construction, working closely with the contractor to address any unforeseen decisions, and troubleshooting any issues that arise on-site. My goal is to protect the integrity of the design and ensure that the final result reflects the client's vision. By maintaining this hands-on approach, I help create a seamless and satisfying renovation experience for my clients.
How are design fees determined?
To keep things clear and straightforward, I charge a flat design fee rather than hourly billing. Every project begins with a clearly defined scope of work and a list of deliverables, so you know exactly what’s included from the start.
If your project expands beyond the original scope, such as adding new spaces or requesting additional design services, we will discuss those changes together and agree on an updated scope and fee before moving forward. This way you have transparency, no surprises, and complete confidence in the investment you are making.
Where are materials sourced from?
For each project I source materials through my network of trusted trade vendors and showrooms. These partners provide access to high-quality products that are not always available at retail, which means better craftsmanship, more options, and a smoother process overall. Because I work closely with these vendors, I know the reliability of their products and services, and it allows me to streamline orders, handle logistics, and resolve issues quickly.
My design fees are based on working with this established network, which ensures consistency, efficiency, and the level of quality that my projects require. This way you benefit from curated selections, a simplified process, and results that hold up beautifully over time.
How involved are clients in design decisions?
Client input is highly valued, and there is a strong commitment to incorporating the client’s preferences and throughout the design process. However, allowing time and space to independently explore ideas enables the designer to fully tap into creativity, resulting in truly innovative solutions. Once the design concepts are developed, they are presented to the client, with opportunity for revisions. The ultimate goal is to create a space that not only exceeds expectations but also provides a seamless and enjoyable design experience, alleviating the stress of countless decisions from the client’s shoulders.
