Delivering intentional, elevated interiors across St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra, St. Johns, Jacksonville, Palm Coast & Northeast Florida.

What style of spaces do you create?

I don’t design from a template or subscribe to a single style. My work blends timeless design with layered textures, thoughtful materials, and subtle pattern to create interiors that feel rich, calm, and beautifully livable. Every space is designed specifically for the people who live there, with influences such as coastal elements, touches of modern, and transitional details introduced only when they meaningfully support the home and lifestyle.

I believe luxury is a feeling, not a price point. It comes from refinement, balance, and a clear sense of intention, as well as from spaces that function naturally and feel aligned with the people living in them. Each project evolves through a considered, intuitive process that values clarity and cohesion, resulting in design that feels elevated, enduring, and deeply personal.

Who do you work with?

I work with clients who see design as an investment in how they live, not just how their home looks. The most successful projects are rooted in mutual trust, where clients value thoughtful decision making, respect the process, and are open to guidance grounded in experience and intention.

My clients understand that a well designed home does more than look good. It creates ease, comfort, and a sense of calm that supports daily life. When collaboration is built on trust and clarity, the process feels effortless and the results are enduring.

What types of projects do you take on?

Projects range from new construction and large scale renovations to full home furnishings and focused single room transformations. Every project is approached with intention and tailored to how you live, rather than applied from a one size fits all template.

What matters most is not the size of the project, but the partnership. The strongest results come from a shared commitment to the process, thoughtful decision making, and a clear design direction. When that alignment is in place, the outcome is a home that feels cohesive, refined, and truly personal.

Can Zen Reno & Design work with my contractor?

Collaboration with the right contractor is essential to a successful project. I work with professionals who share my standards for quality, communication, and workmanship to ensure the design is executed as intended. Over the years, I’ve built trusted relationships with contractors who consistently deliver reliable, high quality results, which helps streamline the process and maintain clarity from start to finish.

If a client already has a contractor, I’m known to evaluate whether the partnership is a good fit for the scope and goals of the project. When needed, I may recommend a contractor from my network or determine that it’s not the right time to move forward. My priority is always the integrity of the design and a smooth, well coordinated experience for my clients.

Are project management services offered?

Zen Reno & Design does not provide licensed construction project management. I do, however, take on the role of design manager to oversee the execution of the design intent. I remain actively involved throughout the project to ensure the design is implemented accurately, key details are addressed, and decisions are guided with clarity as the work progresses.

This level of involvement is intended to protect the integrity of the design and support a smooth, well coordinated process. By staying engaged through regular site visits and ongoing collaboration with the contractor, the finished space feels cohesive, intentional, and true to the original vision.

How are design fees determined?

To keep the process clear and straightforward, design services are quoted as a flat fee rather than hourly billing. Each project begins with a clearly defined scope of work and outlined deliverables, so expectations are established from the start and the design phase feels focused and intentional.

Design management and implementation support are billed hourly, as the level of involvement required can vary depending on the scope of the project, construction timeline, and contractor coordination. This structure allows flexibility while ensuring the design is properly supported as the project progresses.

Your investment supports more than time spent designing. It provides a considered design process, thoughtful curation, and professional guidance throughout key decisions, resulting in a home that feels cohesive, elevated, and intentionally designed for the way you live.

Where are materials sourced from?

Materials and furnishings are sourced through my established network of trusted vendors and showrooms. These resources allow for a higher level of quality, consistency, and coordination throughout the project, from initial selections through ordering and delivery. Working within this network helps maintain clarity, accountability, and a cohesive design outcome.

My design services are structured around this sourcing approach. For furnishing projects, full service sourcing and procurement through Zen Reno & Design is required to ensure the design is executed as intended. I do not specify, manage, or coordinate items purchased independently by the client, as doing so compromises both the process and the final result.

How involved are clients in design decisions?

Client input is an essential part of the design process and helps shape the overall direction of the project. At the same time, space is intentionally built into the process for independent creative development, allowing ideas to be fully explored and refined before they are presented.

Design concepts are shared thoughtfully, with opportunities for feedback and refinement at key milestones. My role is to translate your lifestyle, preferences, and priorities into a cohesive design direction, guiding decisions in a way that maintains clarity, balance, and intention. The result is a home that feels personal, layered, and well considered, without becoming fragmented or overworked.
