What style of spaces do you create?
I don’t design from a template or subscribe to a single style. At Zen Reno & Design, collaboration with the right contractor is essential to a successful project. I work with professionals who share the same standards for quality, communication, and workmanship. Over the years, I’ve developed a trusted network of contractors who consistently deliver exceptional results. Working with familiar teams streamlines communication, reduces delays, and ensures everyone is aligned with the design vision from start to finish.
Because the contractor plays such a crucial role in execution, the right fit matters. If I feel that a client’s existing contractor may not support the success of the project, I may recommend a different professional from my network or, in some cases, choose not to move forward. My priority is the integrity of the design and a seamless, high-quality experience for my clients.
Are project management services offered?
While Zen Reno & Design does not provide licensed construction project management, I take on the role of design manager to oversee the execution of the design vision. I stay actively involved throughout the project to ensure the details are accurately implemented, conducting regular site visits, coordinating with the contractor, and addressing decisions or issues that arise on-site. My goal is to protect the integrity of the design and ensure the final result reflects the vision we established together. This hands-on approach supports a seamless experience and a finished space that feels cohesive, intentional, and well executed.
How are design fees determined?
To keep things clear and straightforward, I charge a flat design fee rather than hourly billing. Every project begins with a clearly defined scope of work and a list of deliverables, so you know exactly what’s included from the start.
If the project expands to include additional spaces or services, we will discuss the changes and agree on an updated scope and fee before moving forward. This ensures transparency, no surprises, and confidence in your investment.

Where are materials sourced from?
I source materials through a trusted network of trade vendors and showrooms. These partnerships provide access to higher quality products, expanded options, and a smoother, more reliable process than retail sourcing. Because I work closely with these vendors, I understand their craftsmanship and service, which allows me to streamline orders, manage logistics, and resolve issues quickly.
Sourcing through these partners brings depth, texture, and personality into each space while supporting the light, calm, refined aesthetic many of my clients love, along with the durability needed for everyday living.
